SPEAK KIND WORDS TO YOURSELF
Loving yourself starts with self-care. Make yourself a priority. Start with speaking kind words to yourself. You are what you think. If you find negative thoughts starting to invade your mind, allow them to come and then flip it to positive thoughts. Allow yourself to embrace how to make the negative thought into a more uplifting one.
If you are patient and kind to yourself as you would want others to be with you; you will find yourself more accepting and loving of yourself. I like to treat myself with a hot Epsom salt bath and a deep tissue massage. Those are things I live for.
HOW TO MOVE FORWARD
One of the greatest things you can learn is to let go of things and people who do not have your best interest at heart. Too many times people are trying to hold on to situations and people who have a negative hold on your mind and your heart. You must understand that you are worthy. Also that you are valuable. When you realize that you don’t have to accept neglectful, inconsistent or just plain bad behavior; you will then know that you are putting yourself first.
Having this realization helps put things in perspective. You are the author of your life. You are the one who controls what should be in your life and how you want your life to be. If you make a bad decision, don’t beat yourself up. Acknowledge that you made a bad decision, forgive yourself and move on. Forgiveness is the best things you can do for your soul. We forgive others, so in turn, we need to forgive ourselves.
You only live once. Take the time to enjoy your life. Spend time with your family and friends. Keep in mind to be present. When you are present your loved ones will appreciate it. Be totally in the moment. Be silly, become one with the child inside of you. One of the greatest joys in life is simply laughing. Laugh and laugh hard!
